Why work with me

In my years of medical practice, I saw how stress, dissatisfaction, and feeling stuck at work deeply affected health and happiness.

That understanding is what ultimately led me to pursue coaching — to meaningfully support individuals as they strive to create fulfilling careers and lives aligned with their values. I wanted to impact people upstream of the end-stage issues of insomnia and depression that I was seeing in the clinic. Instead, I wanted to help people arm themselves with more powerful communication strategies, drawing from an awakened intuition and inner wisdom, that would help them direct their career and relationship with confidence and decisiveness.

My clients often reach out when they’re ready for real work. They also say that having steady coaching support makes the hard parts more bearable — like someone running alongside them through the loneliest stretch of the marathon.

I work with high-achieving professionals and leaders across technology, media, consulting, healthcare, finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship. I coach clients around the world and bring sensitivity to the cultural contexts and values that shape how each person navigates change.

Who I Work With

Leaders

I work with leaders who reached their current roles because of their stellar reputation as hard-working, bright individual contributors. At this higher level, however, they’re often pulled in competing directions — and despite burning the candle at both ends, still feel they’re not getting it all done.

They may be facing a career crossroads, faltering confidence, or a growing lack of fulfillment and satisfaction, even as external markers of success continue to accumulate.

Physicians

I work with physicians who entered their vocation with a deep desire to serve, yet whose real-world experiences have left them disillusioned and burned out.

As a physician myself, I understand the particular hurt and sense of betrayal that can arise through repeated experiences in this profession. When I work with physicians, it is from this place of shared experience and genuine understanding.

Together, we widen the frame of what’s possible — exploring new directions both within medicine and beyond it. No matter where the journey leads, clients leave our work with a renewed sense of ownership over their choices, free from the heavy weight of expectation, and reconnected to the deeper sense of purpose that brought them to caring for people in the first place.

Individuals and Couples

I work with individuals and couples around the tender terrain of intimate relationship — supporting both the repair and reimagining of connection.

My work helps people cultivate wellbeing, harmony, and deepened intimacy by uncovering the clarity and confidence needed to voice desires, while fostering communication that is both effective and compassionate.

Together, we explore the emotional undercurrents that so often fuel repetitive cycles of conflict, transforming them into opportunities for understanding and empathy. I also guide people through some of the most sensitive and often unspoken areas of partnership — navigating differences in desire, addressing challenges in sexual health, and nurturing the trust and safety required for intimacy to truly flourish.

If you recognize yourself in any of these descriptions, you’re likely in the right place!

About Anna

I’m Anna Stratis — a family physician and ICF-credentialed coach (PCC) with advanced training in wellbeing dynamics and energy leadership. I work with people who are thoughtful, capable, and driven — yet sense there’s more ease, connection, or alignment available to them.

My background spans medicine, neuroscience, and professional coaching. I completed my MSc in Anatomy & Neurobiology and my MD at Dalhousie University, followed by family medicine residency training at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. I later trained as a coach with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), where coaching at the leadership level became a clear focus of my practice.

Over the years, I’ve coached established and emerging leaders across tech, finance, banking, pharma, media, engineering, healthcare and other corporate sectors. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing meaningful shifts in people’s careers and lives — often sparked by questioning long-held assumptions, getting curious about what’s really happening, and asking what might become possible when the situation is viewed from a more confident vantage point.

My work also includes coaching couples and individuals toward stronger communication and more meaningful emotional connection and reignited physical intimacy. Years of practice in family medicine add a rich clinical context, allowing our work together to thoughtfully account for the ways physiological change, health, and major life phases shape our ability to enjoy intimacy.

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for the complexity of human experience — and the privilege of holding meaningful, transformative conversations with people who are ready for are ready for change.

When I’m not coaching…

Every day, I’m unraveling the mysteries of relationship — both professionally and personally. I’m continually learning (often the hard way) about communication, repair, and growth, picking myself up and continuing along this lifelong journey.

An avid all-weather paddleboarder, I love discovering where the swans build their nests along the shoreline of Lake Ontario. I’ve since brought my paddle to Greece, gliding alongside majestic loggerhead sea turtles in turquoise waters.

I co-host a relationship podcast, Geordie Lass and Doc Sass, with the insightful coach and fellow relationship nerd, Sara Liddle.
